This weekend I observe how man and woman are socialy different. I've never really realized how oh socialy different they are. This pased weekend i have seen at school, work, home and just by having a converation with somebody. I was talking to my mom about how male insurance rate is higher then females just because they think they would be more careless drivers, mean whiles miles also say how women are horrible drivers. Over this weekend my two friends broke up and everyone automatically blamed the male when it wasn't his fault at all because everyone automatically just assumes males are more likely to mess up in a relationship then the male. A third example would be at home since my mom is a single parent that's a women everyones alwaya saying how much credit thwy give her because has to do what women are "supposed to" like clean, cook, do the laundry and ect. plus the males work to. In the first place why do men and women have specific job they havw to do, they really don't they think they do but it's only what the social world makes everyone think. An example of socialization with men and women is at work. After school I go over to latchkey with elementary school kids. Even with them I see it alot a bunch of boys are always playing football and if you were a girl who wanyed to play they boys automatically said "no girls don't play football the cheer on the side." The kids didn't really think to say yes they just assumed that it would be weird for a girl to play what they called it "a males sport." Another example of where socialization is taken place is at the mall is baby clothing stores. When having a child a parent automatically assumes if the baby is a girl they need to dress her in all types on pinks, purples and really girly colors then what they call "boy colors" like the typical blue, green and ect. Those are a few dofferent ways i've seen socialization with men and women demonstrated in an every day life.

The research project I found most interesting was Melissa and Angie's. I thought their project was really into detail and explanatory. I really enjoyed the video about how everything in the brain works and how music helps you think faster. I never thought that about it but after there presentation it really had me thinking. In the beginning I really thought was great how they said how each side of the brain works. They did a great job explaining it into good details. The one presentation that was slight confusing was Spencers. I'm not really sure what the topic ment that he was talking about. I think he should have used better details and more explaining.
There is much to talk about with my personality, I am a very independent person I rather do something on my own rather then with someone next to me all the time. I am not a shy person i'm not afraid to say something but i hate talking in front of a large group up people. Major of people see my goofy side at times but I have a serious side as well. I'm a very kind, respectful, reliable and sympathetic type of person. For example, I will never say anything to anyone on purpose to hurt someone elses feelings. I'm always here for my family and friends if they every need anything. I think my personality really defines who I am because i'm a friendly and respectful person. One of my strengths are since i'm an outgoing person I work with kids after school. The type of person I am makes the job alot more easier to interact with the children. A weakness I have is not having the confidence in myself durning school to present, answering a question out loud or even just read infront of a class. I would consider myself an extroverted person since I an outgoing. Sometimes I would say I am a loud, talktive, patient and calm person. The biggest factor that influences my personality is the fact that I work with kids every day so I need to act more mature and have more patience with others.
A quote that I have picked is "The things you take for granted, someone else is praying to have." This quote really influences me because ot makes me realize how much I really have and how much my mom gives me. Some of the things I normally get on a daily basis I dont realize how important it really is to me and help others really don't have as much. I should be more thankful for what I receive because other kids out in the world could be praying that they have what I have everyday.

September 11th, 2001 was a day that changed America forever. Watching videos in class and in US 2 these past three days have really made a difference on how I use to view 9/11. Watching the videos of the second plane crashing and all the people on the streets running is a very scary thought. While I was getting taken out of pre-K and my brother in second grade that was going on. I had not a clue on what was going on but to think that was taken place is very scary. While I was watching the videos I kept on think what if that was me or my family running from it on the streets? Or even on the planes that crashed.
"Social but not too social" is something I just made up on the spot. When i really thought about the title I thought how it really does fit me well. I am a very outgoing person and will really talk to anyone that comes around. I love talking to people and getting to know them. When it comes to talking to a group of people that's when i start to hesitate and get nervous. Presenting or reading out loud in front of a group of people has been my biggest fear for as long as I remember. When i was younger and even to this day i will find my way out talking out loud. I never understood why presenting gets me so nervous it has always been my number one fear. Thats why I think social but not too social fit me personally really well. As a high school student it is hard having that as my fear because we do alot of it through out the year. I do wish i was able to do it because i get told all the time how i have to do a lot of it in college. I feel since I haven't done it in so while feeling actually comfortable it's gonna be hard for me to get over. This is going to be something that might just take awhile to over come but I think one day i will be standing in front of a group of people presenting while feeling confident.
